A Sara Thing, Paper Pumpkin Kit

I’m so excited to be joining this blog hop, A Paper Pumpkin Blog Hop, A Sara Thing. We are all chatting and showing projects with A Sara Thing, April’s Paper Pumpkin Kit. Make sure you make it to the end of my post. Special give away.

Isn’t this the BEST Paper Pumpkin Yet? I think so. So I’ve changed up my card a bit and added a “Bag a Lope”. Do you remember “Bag a Lopes”? So fun and easy to make.

Seal up your envelope, score 1/2″ on 3 sides, (depends if you want your bag to be short or tall which sides you score).

Cut about an inch off the “top” of your bag.

With your hand inside the bag, make the bottom flat using the score lines. You will have two triangles sticking out each end. Add some Tear & Tape to each one and fold in. This makes the bottom of the bag.

Then just fold on the sides, accordion style, like a grocery bag.

Decorate and add your treat, you are done! I used yogurt pretzels, my current favorite snack. Caution, they are addictive……just sayin’.  I should also mention that I used our 3″ x 6″ Gusseted Cello Bags, #141704, $4.50 for 25 bags.

For the card I added a piece of Melon Mambo Cardstock, cut at 3 3/4″ x 5 1/2″. The Dragonflies are from the Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits from the Occasions Catalog and those cute little jewels are from the New Annual Catalog (out June 1st). They are called Glitter Enamel Dots, and can I just say, they are AWESOME!

You can really see them shine in this photo.

As many of you know my Granddaughter Gianna gets a Paper Pumpkin kit every month too. Gianna sent me a photo of her card and said, grandma, want to put it on your blog? I said of course I do. By the way, Gianna is 10 years old, she loves to craft with me and is great with the Big Shot. Way to go Gianna! Great job!
