If you saw my post from yesterday, you know I stamped and die cut a whole bunch of these flowers, which were the wrong color. I couldn’t let all those flowers go to waste, so this is what I came up with. This is also another swap card I took with me to OnStage, and used the First Frost Bundle, & the Frosted Floral Specialty Designer Series Paper.
My card base is Fresh Fig, with another layer of Fresh Fig embossed with the Tile Tin Embossing Folder. Remember when you are adding a layer that is embossed, use your Tombow Liquid Glue to get adhesive in all the nooks and crannies. I then added a 1 1.2″ strip of the Frosted Floral Specialty Designer Series Paper. As you can see from my card today (and yesterday), you can make your DSP go far even with only a 1 1/2″ strip. It still gives my card a “pop” and lets you see the embossed layer.
I stamped the greeting onto a Whisper White Stitched Shapes Circle using the second largest circle. Use 3 Dimensionals to add it to your card. I did the flowers the same way as my card yesterday. Cup the flower in your hand and push down so the sides pop up. These flowers were also sprayed with Frost White Shimmer Paint and Rubbing Alcohol. I added the 2 large flowers with a bit of Tombow Liquid Glue to the Stitched Circle and the small one has a Dimensional on the back.
Use the Leaf Punch and Vellum to punch out the leaves. I then sponged them with Frost White Shimmer Paint, and curled them with my Bone Folder when they were dry. Add a glue dot to the stem and tuck under the Stitched Circle.
To finish I added my Double Linen Thread Bow and a few Metallic Pearls.
We only have one more day of OnStage. I will be back home late Sunday evening. I hope all my friends enjoy the swaps and candy treats I made.
