Abstract Impressions Birthday Card

This is a card I gave Patty for her birthday last month. I always give her a couple of scones from Panera’s too. I decorated the box to match her card. Do you think I took a photo of the box? Nope, completely forgot. So here is the card. Kind of a different way to make a card. I started with a 4 1/4″ x 11″ card base and scored it at 5 1/2″. I cut a 2″ opening, so you end up with 4 1/4″ x 7 1/2″ for the top & 1 1/2″ on the bottom. I then used the Stitched Labels Framelits to attach the bottom to the card base. I told you I would be using this die a LOT. LOL

Make sure to add your Garden Impressions DSP before you add the die. I just used snail to add the die cut. The leaves were stamped in Shaded Spruce and stamped off and then stamped onto the die cut. The flowers are stamped with Calypso Coral, first stamped off for the solid image and full strength with the highlights. I added the Share What You Love Artisan Pearls to each flower.

I’m going to confess…….I stamped the sentiment crooked…..So I had to re stamp and cover up my boo boo…..the sentiment comes from the Perennial Birthday stamp set. Its actually on the inside of the card. Finished it off with a double Linen Thread bow.

Cutting Guide:

4 1/4″ x 11″ Calypso Coral, scored at 5 1/2″

2-1 3/4″ x 4″ Garden Impressions DSP

Scrap of Thick Whisper White cardstock for the die cut
