All That You Are Calendars

I wanted to make a bunch of these for my thank cards in January. I found the calendars  at Also thank you to Erica Cerwin for this GREAT idea. I took her idea and used different stamps, paper, ribbon, etc.  I made them for my Customer Thank You Cards last month. They were a hit. My Stamp Club Gals made them this week and we will be making them at my team meeting on Saturday. I used a different stamp set. I will share next week. Don’t want to spoil it for them.

To get started I used a 4 1/4″ x 11″ card base. I used all the colors in the Gingham Gala DSP and the matching Organdy Ribbon from the Sale-a-bration Catalog (SAB).   I don’t think Stampin’ Up! realized how popular this ribbon was going to be, and its not orderable right now. As soon as its back in stock around the 11th then Stampin’ Up! will turn that number back on. The Gingham Gala DSP is supposed to be back in our warehouse around the 18th of this month.  They have over 23,000 coming, and you an order it and it will be sent to you when its available.

Ok, back to my card, I added a piece of coordinating Gala Gingham DSP, cut at, 4″ x 5 1/2″, then a piece of Vellum Cardstock cut at 3 3/4″ x 5″. I stamped the large image from All That You Are Stamp Set, with Versamark Ink and embossed with White Embossing Powder.  Make sure to stamp up to the top left side so the calendar doesn’t cover up your pretty flower.

Next you will want to color your image. I used Stampin’ Blends and colored on the BACK SIDE. Once dry I added snail to just the areas that are colored and adhered on top of the Gingham. Next add your ribbon and calendar. I used two strips of Tear & Tape for the calendar. The last thing I used was the Share What You Love Artisan Pearls. They match the Gingham and ribbon perfectly.

Daffodil Delight & Lemon Lime Twist

Grapefruit Grove & Gorgeous Grape (card base, Highland Heather for the Gingham)

I made a special one for Patty. Her family loves squirrels and they feed them on their deck everyday. I added a few of the Frosted Flowers with the Artisan Pearls on top. I also only added the Gingham cut at 2 1/2″ x 4″ & the Vellum cut at 2 1/4″ x 3 3/4″, then heat embossed like I did in the others.  The squirrel is smaller and I didn’t want it to get lost, which is why I didn’t make them the same size as the cards above. To make the stand for your card you will need a piece of matching cardstock cut at, 4″ x 5 1/2″ score, 1/2″, 2 3/4″ & 5″ on the long side. It should look like my first photo. Put Tear & Tape on the backside of the flaps. Take off the release paper on the Tear & Tape on one side at a time. Line it up with the bottom of your card and center, then do the other side.
