I made this card for a co-worker of my husbands. They just signed papers on their house, and I knew this would be the perfect stamp set to use. I asked hubby, what does their front door look like? What color is their door? Of course he couldn’t remember (he fixed their a/c), so I decided to go with the green brick (not sure why I chose green), using the Embossing Paste with Pear Pizzazz Re-inker to color it. While that was drying, I stamped the door onto one of our Wood Textures Designer Paper and die cut it with the matching die. (You can get the bundle and save 10%). I cut out the little windows (also in the set) and added some Daffodil Delight cardstock behind it. That way it looks like someone is home.
For the light fixture and the pumpkins, & sunflowers I stamped onto Watercolor Paper. I colored with my Aqua Painter and ink from my lid, those were also die cut. Almost forgot about the welcome mat. That was stamped on Pear Pizzazz and die cut too. I added the door to the card with Fast Fuse and used dimensionals for everything else. Finished off with a Linen Thread bow on the sunflowers.
And lets not forget about the inside of the card. I used the Lots of Labels Framelits and stamped the greeting. The Pumpkins are from the Pick a Pumpkin Bundle. I originally thought he was going to hand deliver to his co-worker, which is why I added the die cut pumpkin to the envelope, but we ended up sending it. So hopefully the envelope didn’t get messed up.
