Beautiful Promenade Thank You Card

I cased this beautiful card from Patty Bennett. The Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper is just stunning and you really don’t need much else. This is one of the cards my All Occasions Card Class this week will be making.

After adding the Designer Paper to the front, I cut another piece of dsp. 1″ x 5 1/2″.  Do you see those cute little scallops on this 1″ piece?  They are from the Petite Treats Framelits. You need 2 full pieces, plus a piece of one and adhere to the back of your 1″ piece. That goes on your card. I took a 25″ of the Crumb Cake, Nature’s Twine and untwisted it. Then I put them together and wrapped it around my card and tied a bow. I separated the loops and added a Glue Dot under the knot so it didn’t move. You can use your Bone Folder to make the ends curl a bit. Makes a pretty bow and not a bulky as if you left all the strands together. Using the largest Circle in the Shaped Circle Framelits, I first stamped the flower with Blushing Bride. Used a Sponge Dauber to color in the flower, mostly just the center. Added some Wink of Stella too. Then stamped the sentiment from the Enjoy Life stamp set. I put Dimensionals on the back.  I stamped some of the leaves onto Whisper White cardstock with Pear Pizzazz Ink and die cut them. Also die cut some Pear Pizzazz leaves. I “winked” the leaves with Wink of Stella. The leaves were added with Glue Dots. Then I was ready to add it to my card.  I then flicked some Blushing Bride and Wink of Stella. Use the end of your marker. The Beautiful Layers Thinlits come with an Envelope Die too! Makes it so easy to make the inside of the envelope look pretty as well as your card. Use that Designer Paper, don’t horde it. I always think, what if I need that for another project? Just buy some more……lol. I also heard/read that some of the Designer Paper will be on sale next month….whoo hooo!Cutting Guide:

5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ Blushing Bride cardstock, scored at 4 1/4″

1″ x 5 1/2″ Coordinating DSP
