Are you tired of seeing Blended Seasons Bundles and Brusho yet? I actually made this for yesterdays project and decided that I needed to use only the Prussian Blue color.
I started out with a piece of Watercolor Paper and added Moss Green and Prussian Blue in a diagonal across the paper. I used Spray Starch instead of water to active the crystals, then laid down a piece of Plastic Wrap and scrunched it up. It makes for such an interesting pattern. I had a narrow piece of Watercolor Paper that I added the same colors, same process for the leaves. You will notice that I didn’t pick all of the pieces out of the leaves. If they fell out, it was fine, but decided that it gives the leaves a little more texture if you leave some of the piece in. What do you think? Do you like all the pieces out, or is some or all ok to stay?
Once the leaves were dry I coated them with a thin layer of Vaseline. Why? It adds a shine to them. I got this tip from Jenny Hall. Then I went over them with Wink of Stella. You didn’t think I would forget to “wink” my leaves did you? I added the leaves with Tombow Liquid Glue. Remember, a little goes a LONG way. Less is more!
I used my Stamparatus to stamp the sentiment, which is in the Blended Seasons Stamp Set. Since Watercolor Paper is so porous, sometimes you need to stamp it a couple of times to get a nice dark stamped image. You can do that with the Stamparatus and know its in the right place.
I finished off my card with a triple Linen Thread bow and attached it with a Glue Dot, and a few Glitter Enamel Dots.
I almost forgot about the inside…….I die cut the medium Label in Whisper White and added the extra leaf I had.
