Pining for Plaid, October’s Paper Pumpkin

I think Stampin’ Up! has knocked it out of the park with this kit. Who doesn’t like/love shaker cards? And look at how fun the box is. These shaker cards are so fast to put together. Everything you need is in the box. Here is the second card. All you need to do is stamp the greeting for this one. Check out the video from Stampin’ Up! Its not too late to get this months…

Paper Pumpkin’s, Layered Leaves

I’m so excited that this months Paper Pumpkin has shipped. But wait……..I hadn’t done last months kit. OMG! This is one of my favorite kits. I LOVE the leaf stamps. I’m giving each of my club members one of these in their orders this month. I was so excited I found some of the Mini Ghiradelli Squares at Target today. Wouldn’t you know, I put all of my gifts inside their orders BEFORE I took…

I’m Back! Lots of Specials to Share With You

I am back from vacation and trying to get back to reality. We had a fabulous time cruising to Cozumel, Grand Cayman & Jamaica. I was able to finish all of my projects that were ready to make on Sea Days thanks to Jenn Gulch. I will be sharing with you soon. I am still unpacking and doing laundry. In the mean time……a few things: World Card Making Day, October 1-10th: Receive 15% off selected…

Halloween Window Box

Isn’t this a fun box? This is one of the projects Patty brought for us to do a couple of weeks ago. We used the Foil Frenzy Specialty Paper for the box, sponged a Metallic Foil Doily black, the scallop is the Spooky Night Designer Series Paper (layering Circles Framelits) & the sentiment is from the Spooky Cat stamp set. I have to tell on myself. I totally put adhesive on all the flaps and…

Painted Harvest, Patty’s Way

Isn’t this card beautiful? This one was designed by Patty. Its got 6 layers but still a simple design. We started off with a Whisper White card base (you could use the new Thick Very Vanilla too). The flowers were stamped on Whisper White using Daffodil Delight for the first color, then Crushed Curry to add the highlights. The inside of the flowers are Early Espresso as well as the sentiment. We fussy cut the…

Painted Harvest Fall Card

I really love how this card turned out. I’ve seen several takes on this technique. I LOVE the Painted Harvest Stamp Set. What better way to show it off than with the word FALL, using the Large Letter Dies. I originally did the one of the left. When Patty and I got together a while back we made this card and I totally forgot the top two layers. They both work, but really like the…

Merry Cafe Hot Cocoa Mug

You may have seen this card yesterday. I put the wrong date in and it posted early before I had put in the text. So sorry for that. But now I have the text done so you can see how I made the card. Isn’t this a fun card? I totally cased it from Monica Gale. I loved everything about it, and it uses the Coffee Cups Framelits. The snowflakes are from Seasonal Layers Thinlits.…

Count my Blessings Watercolor Card, Holiday Catalog Now Live!

This is another beautiful stamp set in the Holiday Catalog. Its on page 50. My Stamp Club Gals will be making this one too! I’ve got a 1 3/4″ strip of the Painted Autumn Designer Series Paper on the left side. I stamped the flower image onto Watercolor Paper with Black Archival Ink twice, and cut one of each of the flowers out. This really makes the flowers pop. I water colored with my Aqua…

At Home With You

I made this card for a co-worker of my husbands. They just signed papers on their house, and I knew this would be the perfect stamp set to use. I asked hubby, what does their front door look like? What color is their door? Of course he couldn’t remember (he fixed their a/c), so I decided to go with the green brick (not sure why I chose green), using the Embossing Paste with Pear Pizzazz…

A Paper Pumpkin Thing, Giftable Greetings

So excited to be with you again this month for Alternative ways to use your Paper Pumpkin Kits. This really helps me think out of my box. My first alternative is simple, just turn your card around, from Portrait to Landscape. I covered up the loops with flowers and leaves. Easy, right? Oh, almost forgot, I “winked” my flowers and leaves with Wink of Stella. Why not make your card base into a candy holder?…
