Color Fusers Blog Hop

So excited to be joining the Color Fusers Blog Hop. We are working with these colors. I’m only using Rich Razzleberry & Bermuda Bay, which you know are my favorites.

As I was cruising Pinterest last week I came across Kim Jolly’s Video on Tied Died Backgrounds. Had to give it a try. You need Coffee Filters, Baby Wipes and your ink pads. Look what I came up with. Love this technique! Thanks Kim.

You really don’t need a lot to decorate your card with this background. I used the sentiment from the Special Celebrations stamp set, added one of the Fresh Fig In Color Bitty Bow and some of the amazing 3/8″ Mini Chevron Ribbon. Boom! Done!

This is my mini tutorial. After you wad up your coffee filter, lay it flat and the scrunch up like above and start adding your color. Dip your scrunched up baby wipe into your ink pad and pounce on the coffee filter all the way around (both sides), then move on to the next color. Make sure you let it dry or hit it with your Heat Tool, then you can adhere to your cardstock. Its really simple. I knew I saved those coffee filters for a reason.

Cutting Guide:

5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ Rich Razzleberry cardstock, scored at 4 1/4″

4″ x 5 1/4″ Bermuda Bay cardstock

3 3/4″ x 5″ Whisper White cardstock (you cover this piece with your coffee filter)

Scraps of Rich Razzleberry & Whisper White for the sentiment

Supply List:

Here are a couple more I made using Berry Burst & Lemon Lime Twist Ink. I also die cut the Happy Birthday Thinlits (#143700) with those colors and also some white Fun Foam. I adhered them all together so the sentiment really stuck out.

And don’t forget to decorate the inside.

I have one more color combo, Night of Navy & Lemon Lime Twist. I still need to decorate it, but wanted you to see how great this color combo is too.
