Early Release, Carols of Christmas

Stampin’ Up! has just released this bundle for all our customers. This bundle is in the Holiday Catalog that goes live on September 1st. As a demonstrator we can now pre-order everything in this new catalog! I overnighted (is that a word???) my order, which I seldom do because it costs a lot more for shipping, but I wanted to be able to have the Holiday Catalog. We can see it online, but its just not the same as having it in your hands. So you can check out The Carols of Christmas bundle here: Carols_Bundle_Flyer_US

I love the Cherry Cobbler boarder around this card. The Card Front Builder Dies make this easy. Yes there is a die for that! You will need the Precision Plate to die cut the border. I had to roll mine through a couple of times. This is a Patty Bennett design. Patty brought this card and everything we needed to make it last week when we had a craft marathon. The chair makes me think of being in the mountains sitting on the porch.

We added a layer of the Wood Textures Designer Series Paper in the center, along with the trees in Tranquil Tide and sponged in Tranquil Tide. The sentiment is easy to ink up first in Cherry Cobbler, then Tranquil Tide and last use your Black Marker to ink up the middle. You just ink up part of the sentiment in each color or you could use your markers. The “gold” stars (I think they are really poinsettias) are the finishing touch.

This is another variation. Flipped the card and used a Thick Very Vanilla card base instead of Crumb Cake. Added the Wood Textures Designer Series Paper and a Mini Chevron Old Olive Ribbon. The sentiment is stamped in Cherry Cobbler onto another piece of the Wood Textures dsp and die cut with the Layering Circles Framelits.

Its hard to see in the photo, but we added a gold Decorative Ribbon Punched piece just under the ribbon, winked our little deer and added some “snow” to our trees with Embossing Paste & a little Dazzling Diamonds Glitter. You can see how I added the snow to my trees. It dries pretty fast. Make sure you clean your tools & mat quickly. The Silicone mat works perfect for doing this and mixing color or glitter into the paste.
