Friends are Flowers in the Garden of Life

I love that sentiment. It comes in the Beautiful Promenade Stamp set shown on page 107 of the Annual Catalog. It also has matching Thinlits. I only used the sentiment on my card for my friend Patty. I also used the flowers from the Bouquet Blooms stamp set, page 167, and the new Thank You Thinlits, page 220. Can you can tell I “winked” it, with Wink of Stella? I mounted the Thank You with Dimensionals. Use the edges, they work perfect.

This is a Double Z Fold card. I will give you all the measurements towards the bottom of my post.

I have been hoarding this piece of DSP from the Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper Package. Its my most favorite of the 6 prints that come in this package.

This is the inside of my card. I have a confession I need to make. I love the Bouquet Blooms stamp set, but feel like that big stamp that includes all the flowers and the leaves is hard for me to use. Do you stamp it in green because of the leaves? Or stamp in a color for the flowers? So, how did I get over this? I stamped it in Soft Sea Foam, and then stamped the flowers in Fresh Fig & Highland Heather and die cut them with the framelits that are in that set. (All of the items I used will be listed below.) Problem solved!

Here is a side view of how the card looks.Cutting Guide:

Card Base, 4 1/4″ x 11″ Mossy Meadow cardstock, scored at 2 3/4″ & 5 1/2″

2nd Base, 3 1/4″ x 10″ Fresh Fig cardstock, scored at 4 1/4″ & 7 1/4″

3″ x 4 1/4″ Whisper White (where I put the sentiment)

Since this was a “special” thank you for Patty, I made a tag to go on the bag of scones she loves from Panera’s. I forgot to take a photo after I got the scones. So you just have to use your imagination………I used the Botanical Tags Thinlits to die cut the flower in Fresh Fig. I die cut the bottom of the flower die with the Petal Promenade DSP so it would match perfectly. I stamped the leaves in Mossy Meadow from Rooted in Nature and die cut them with the matching framelits. Then I dipped the edges in Versamark Ink and Pewter Embossing Powder (retired) and heated them up with my Heat Tool. I attached them with Glue Dots and added a few of the Share What You Love Artisan Pearls.
