Fun Fold Painted Seasons

I couldn’t wait to make this fun fold card, when I saw it on Erica Cerwin’s blog. I used the Painted Season’s DSP and Painted Seasons Stamp Set (both Sale-a-bration you can get for FREE) along with the matching Four Seasons Framelits (available while supplies last or until March 31st). And the Pearlized Doily is an added Sale-a-bration item you can get for FREE too! Make sure you use this item #152837 or they won’t be FREE. (You can also use my link above).

Ok, lets get started. I will have all the measurements after the top view of the card, there are a lot, but so worth it. Did I mention that my All Occasions Card Class will be making this card next Thrusday? And it fits into a regular envelope, (see below).

Do your stamping first. Stamp the back panel with sentiment from Part of My Story (also SAB) in Poppy Parade Ink. Stamp 3 flowers at the bottom in Poppy Parade, Pumpkin Pie & Grapefruit Grove Ink. Stamp one leaf with Call Me Clover Ink. Stamp two more flowers and 3 sets of leaves on a scrap piece of Whisper White and die cut them with the Four Seasons Framelits.

Now you can build your focal point. To make your flower not so flat; put flower in your hand and with your thumb push down, the flower cups in your hand. Add both flowers, overlapping a bit with Glue Dots. Tuck the leaves in also with Glue Dots. Add a few of the Artisan Pearls. Set aside and lets build your card.

This is the top view.

Cutting Guide:

4 1/4″ x 8″ Poppy Parade, Score on the long side: 1 1/4″ , 2 1/2″, 5 1/2″ & 6 3/4″. This is your card base.

4- 1″ x 4″ Painted Seasons DSP, I have 2 different patterns as you can see above.

1 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ Poppy Parade (this is the part that goes across your card.)

1″ x 5 1/4″ Painted Seasons DSP, it layers in the above piece.

2 3/4″ x 4″ Call Me Clover, for the back panel.

2 1/2″ x 3 3/4″ Whisper White, this is the one you will stamp on, that layers on the Call Me Clover panel.

After you score the card base, you will fold on all the crease lines so it looks like the view above. Add your 1″ pieces of DSP. Add the Call Me Clover piece to the back, along with the stamped piece.

Now take your 1 1/4″ piece of Poppy Parade and add the 1″ DSP. Using Fast Fuse or Tear & Tape (you want your adhesive to be strong) add adhesive to just about an inch on each side. With your card laying flat (below photo) line up your 1 1/4″ piece with each side panel. Notice that the card is flat, the left side is not folded, while the right side is. Trust me, it will work! Make sure each side is flush with the card. Now you can add the Pearlized Doily that you decorated earlier. I used Glue Dots under the flowers. Make sure your flowers and leaves don’t go past the left side or you won’t be able to put your card in the envelope.

Close up of the flowers.

I spritzed the flowers & the back panel with Champagne Shimmer Paint & Alcohol, hard to tell in the photo. Now you are done! Pretty easy, right? I would love to see what you make. Send me a photo and I will post them on my blog next week sometime.
