My Stamp Club Gals wanted to use the Happy Birthday To You stamp set for one of our cards on Tuesday. What is so awesome is that its FREE (during Sale-a-b ration, SAB) with a $50 order. And tomorrow you can buy the matching dies. The Coordination Product Release starts tomorrow. We have several dies that coordinate with Sale-a-bration & the Mini Catalog and also one package of dsp. These are while supplies last, so don’t wait.
Ok, now on to our card.
Start with a 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ piece of Night of Navy cardstock, scored at 4 1/4″. You will need Night of Navy & Whisper White to die cut the largest rectangle in the Stitched So Sweetly dies. The White one goes inside. Also cut the Vellum label from this die set. Now stamp the cake twice with Versamark Ink onto Shimmer White cardstock, emboss with Gold Embossing Powder. Its easier for me to color BEFORE you die cut. I colored the cake with Smoky Slate Ink and an Aqua Painter. The flowers I used Blueberry Bushel & Night of Navy. Leaves are Smoky Slate. Remember to let everything dry before you add another layer of ink. You will die cut one with the cake and one with just the flowers and leaves from the Birthday Dies. I tucked in a few of Vellum leaves from the Birthday Dies, used Glue Dots to attach. The flowers are attached with Dimensionals. The cake has Dimensionals as well. I laid the Vellum Frame down and used a little snail on the right side that will be covered up with the cake. Wrap the Crinkle Seam Binding ribbon around and tie in a bow.
I went back and added a few spatters of White Craft Ink using my Aqua Painter & Wink of Stella. Finally, I added a few Gold Metallic Pearls. The inside has another Stitched So Sweetly Rectangle. The sentiment is from Peaceful Moments. Stamped with Night of Navy Ink. It does take a bit to color the cake, flowers and stand, but so worth it.
