Hydrangea Hill Suite Collection

I hope you all had a fantastic Christmas. Ours was great with our grandkids. But now its time to get back into my Craft Room. I feel like I’ve been doing Christmas for 6 months, I need non Christmas. From here on out, I will be sharing everything new in the Jan-June Mini Catalog and Sale-a-bration (SAB) catalogs. No SAB today.  All of these products will be available on January 5th when both catalogs go LIVE!

Hydrangeas are one of my all time favorite flowers. To say I LOVE this suite would be an understatement. I have a feeling you will be seeing a LOT of projects using this suite.

So right out the gate, this is a pretty simple card.

5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ Thick Whisper White Cardstock

2 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ Hydrangea Hill dsp

Shimmery White cardstock, for the flower and leaves

I started off stamping the flower, stem and leaves with Memento Black Ink onto Shimmery White cardstock. I should have used Stazon Ink, because it bled when I watercolored it. You will see how I covered it up. Next I started water coloring with  Seaside Spray and my Water Painter. Then I went back and added a little Highland Heather Ink. The stem and leaves are water colored with Old Olive Ink.  Aren’t these colors yummy together? Then I die cut with matching Hydrangea Dies.

I added the dsp to the bottom of the Whisper White card base as well as the Gorgeous Grape Sheer Ribbon. Then I stamped the sentiment in Memento Black Ink. The flower was added with Dimensionals. Then I added the petals in Gorgeous Grape and Highland Heather cardstock with Tombow Liquid Glue. You need just a tiny bit.

To finish off, I added some of the beautiful Pastel Pearls. These colors just “speak” to me.

I ended up not using this piece, but wanted to show you how cool it is. It cuts the shape of the flower and all the little flowers can be bent up to really give it dimension. Next I will die cut this piece in Shimmery White cardstock and water color it. Stay tuned……
