Don’t you love the Stitched Lace Die? I’ve got some tips for you.
My card base is Thick Whisper White cut at, 4 1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5 1/2″. The color strip is 3″ x 5 1/2″ and placed in the center of the card base. Next is the lace piece, Whisper White, cut it at 3 3/4″ x 5″ and die cut with the Stitched Lace die. I’ve got some tips for cutting out the Stitched Lace Die. (click on the photo below to make it larger).
When you die cut using this die you will need to switch up your” sandwich”.
- Regular Platform with the Thin Die Adapter
- Clear Plate
- Stitched Lace Die (face up)
- Clear Plate
- 2 pieces of copy paper as a shim
You will need to run it forward and back, and remember this is a very intricate die, there are lots of little bits, which is why I used a Paper Pumpkin box to collect all those pieces. What also helps is my new Take Your Pick Tool, with the Brush End. I also found a new product (at least to me) called the Glue Sponge. I found it on Amazon, you can find it cheaper else where, but then you have to pay for shipping. I was wondering how I was going to adhere the Stitched Lace piece to my card. Well, this sponge takes care of that problem. You just blot the back of the Lace into the sponge and stick it down to your project. I did get a little glue on my hand, but nothing a baby wipe can’t fix. It literately took seconds to adhere. A good find in my book!
You can see I used my Stitched Rectangle Dies for the focal point and the next layer. I adhered both those piece together and added Dimensionals to the back and attached to my card off to the right, so you can see both the Stitched Lace piece on White and on Terracotta Tile. I did add the sentiment before putting these layers together.
To finish off, add a double Linen Thread bow and a few Sequins.
What do you think? This stamp set is a breeze to use. Only took me a couple of minutes to stamp everything. Hope my Stamp Club gals like it!
