Irresistibly Floral Specialty Designer Series Paper Gusseted Cello Bags

You might have seen this Christmas Bag using the Cello Bags. I wanted to make a couple of really nice thank you’s, so this is what I came up with.

I first took a piece of Water Color Paper and sponged, Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie and Rich Razzleberry over the entire piece. Then I stamped the different leaves with VersaMark Ink and embossed with Copper Embossing Powder. I took my Aqua Painter and blended all the colors on each leaf and then of course, I had to “wink” it with the Clear Wink of Stella, then die cut with the Leaflet Framelits Dies.

Since I wanted to use those colors, I didn’t have any Designer Paper that matched, so I used the Irresistibly Floral Specialty Paper and my Sponge Brayer. I did one side Pumpkin Pie, the other side Old Olive for one, the other one I did Rich Razzleberry and Pumpkin Pie. Isn’t it pretty? You probably missed this paper on page 172. It comes white and then you color it, sponge it, spritz it. 12 sheets, 2 of each design, $13.00 (or get some FREE from me when you place a $50 order between now and October 30th, (details are below).

Does this ever happen to you? You finish your project and realize you forgot the Metallic Thread or Baker’s Twine under the focal point. This is what happened to me. I wound the thread around my fingers a few times, twisted it and laid it on a Glue Dot. Some of the threads got away from me so I added another Glue Dot, stuck more thread on and then using the Paper Piercing tool I lifted it off the roll of Glue Dots and stuck it under one of the leaves. Problem solved!
You can use your Bone Folder to Curl the leaves before attaching them with Dimensionals. The Metallic Enamel Shapes don’t come in Copper, so I used my Copper Metallic Sharpie to color them.

The Mini Pinecones and Pumpkin Pie Glimmer Paper add a nice touch along with the Copper Metallic Thread.

This is the back of my treat bags. Did you know that you can curl Burlap Ribbon (I took and pulled the threads out and used the strands around my treat bag), or Baker’s Twine? That’s what I did here. I wrapped the thread around my bag and tied in a knot, then I curled each end with my Bone Folder. Pretty cool, isn’t it.
I wanted to be able to get to the treats without messing up the bag, so this is what I did. On my focal point I only put dimensionals on the right side of the tag, so the strands of the Burlap ribbon just slide under and then tie in the back. Another problem solved! LOL!
