January 3D Blog Hop, Valentine Ornament

Welcome to our Blog Hop.  You are in for a super fun treat with all the ladies who have joined us for this hop.  Be sure and follow the hop all the way to the end, you don’t want to miss any of it!  Whether you are starting the blog hop here at my blog, or have come from the person before me, be sure to click on the person listed under me further down the page to continue your journey through the blog hop.

We’re each showing you a second project we created using the same stamp set we used in our  3D Tutorial Bundle Project.

Each month’s Tutorial Bundle includes 6 projects, each written out step by step, with photos, measurements.  We even have measurements in both imperial and metric so anyone can create them! You can see a sneak peek of all of them below.

Check out the sneak peek of my project in this month’s PDF! I can’t show you the entire project, you have to get the PDF in order to see it!

For my alternate project I have a Valentine Ornament, using the new Heart Tins, From My Heart Specialty dsp, Heart Doilies and the Heartfelt Bundle. You can see all these products on page 9 of the Mini Catalog.  These tins are the perfect size for a little treat or decoration (I used them for my 3D Tutorial as well). You can even bake in them. SCORE!

Heart-to-Heart-stamp-set_-Peaceful-Poppies-dsp_-Heart-Tin_-Whisper-White-Crinkled-Seam-Binding-Ribbon_-Wink-of-Stella

To start off you will need Glue Dots and the Whisper White 1/4″ (6.4 mm) Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon. Starting at the bottom of the tin add a Glue Dot at the point and adhere your ribbon. Continue to add Glue Dots every inch and a half (or so) until you reach the top (or valley) of the tin, add another Glue Dot and make a loop (for hanging) and another Glue Dot. Go around the other side like the first side. Next take another piece of ribbon, about 11″ (27.94 cm) and tie it around the loop you made and into a bow.

Now we will work on the inside of the tin.  Punch 3 of the hearts in the dsp, I used two Real Red and 1 Flirty Flamingo. Fold each one in half so the right side is inside. Next glue using Tombow Liquid Glue (because it gives you a few seconds of wiggle room) then together. You can cut this sheet into strips so you can punch all the hearts. Once your hearts are glued together, add them to a Heart Doily, then glue to inside of your tin.

Stamp each of the flowers twice in Flirty Flamingo and Real Red. Fussy cut each of them, with the second flowers you only need the center part of the flower. Add the center with a Mini Dimensional to each flower. I also stamped 5 leaves in Granny Apple Green and fussy cut. Next, using Glue Dots add your flowers and leaves to the tin. I did the large and medium flowers at the top right side and the small flower on the lower left side.

Almost forgot, stamp the heart with the leaves in Real Red Ink and fussy cut. Add to the top of the tin with a couple of Glue Dots.

Stamp the sentiment in Real Red Ink on Whisper White and punch with the Classic Label Punch and attach under the flowers with another Glue Dot. You are done! All of these products will be available on Friday, January 3rd.
