As many of you know that we suffered a great loss in our lives last week. Jesse (our Springer Spaniel) was attached by 2 pit bulls in our backyard. He suffered a big gash in his chest/neck area, several bites on his nose, his canine tooth was twisted, and all the bruising in his entire body was too much for him to recover. After being in the hospital 4 days and having 2 operations, he passed about 1:20am Saturday morning. This has left a BIG hole in our lives. Our house is too quiet, not that Jesse was noisy. But with two dogs, playing and following me around it was louder. I think of all the places he would normally be and he isn’t there……So please understand while I work through this tragedy that I won’t be posting regularly.
Jesse would sit and just survey the yard. I took this photo not too long ago.
While I was taking a shower, this is how he would lay on our bed. On my husbands pillow, one leg up. Not on the blanket I have on the bed for him…….
He was my husbands dog. When Dave was having some anxiety issues, Jesse was always right next to him. It was like he knew something wasn’t right. We found out yesterday that his mama is a hospice dog. I guess the apple doesn’t fall from the tree…..He was such a sweet boy. We miss him so much.
Thank you for your patience,
