Let it Snow (No, Not Yet)

I originally made the card on the right and had those left over letters, so decided they shouldn’t go to waste and they became the 2nd card. I originally got this idea from Tania Tobin. These are two of the make n takes my Team made last month.  We are using a couple new products, like the Beautiful Blizzard Bundle, stamp set & matching Thinlit Die, the Swirls & Curls Embossing Folder and the Uninked Spectrum Pad.

For the first card I stamped all the snowflakes with the Spectrum Pad inked up in the colors I wanted up about half way. Then I die cut the word SNOW. I also stamped “Let it” in Balmy Blue from the Pick a Pennant stamp set.

Spectrum Ink Pad is a great option if you want to use multiple colors with one stamp. When you ink up your stamp, you will push the pads together and then when you are done, separate them to store.

Now you need lots of Dimensionals, but big and small ones. Before you add this layer to your card, you will want to stamp the “clouds” in Balmy Blue. Then add this layer to your Thick Whisper White card base.

To finish off I added some of the Basic Adhesive-Backed Sequins.

Cutting Guide:

5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ Thick Whisper White cardstock, scored at 5 1/4″

4″ x 5 1/2″ Whisper White cardstock

This card is where the Letters you die cut for the card above come into play.  I added Dimensionals to each letter and adhered them to the Swirls & Curls Embossed piece. I did use some Frost White Shimmer Paint on the embossed layer before I put the letters on. Just shake up the paint and use a Sponge Dauber to light add paint to the all the raised areas. I added some snowflakes from the Blizzard Thinlits and some Adhesive-Backed Sequins. That piece was layered onto a Highland Heather piece. The card base is Balmy Blue and stamped with the spectrum pad at the top and the bottom, since you won’t see the center.

Cutting Guide:

5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ Balmy Blue cardstock, scored at 4 1/4″

3 1/2″ x 5″ Balmy blue cardstock

3 4/8″ x 5 1/8″ Highland Heather cardstock

  1. This is a great card! I think the “N” is upside down on the lighter (negative) card though. 🙂 Thanks for showing us exactly how to make these!
