Matchbook Card & Treat Holder

These two projects are the ones Patty Bennett designed for our meeting. This one is the card and works just like a matchbook would.

The sentiment comes from the Suite Seasons Stamp set, I used the 1 3/4″ and 2″ Circle Punches.

The top flap goes inside the bottom piece and sits flat.

Cutting Guide for the Card:
4 1/4″ x 11″  Real Red Cardstock, Score, 1 1/2″ and 6 3/4″
3″ x 4″  and 1 1/4″ x 4″ Candy Cane Lane Designer Series Paper

This is the Treat Holder. Done the same way as the card, except you have one extra score line. Which makes it easy to put a treat inside. The sentiment is from the Tin of Tags stamp set.

Wondering how I got the frame around the Decorative Label Punch? Easy Peasy!

I don’t have a treat in mine yet. The Halloween candy I have is orange and just doesn’t go with the Real Red. You would staple the bottom flap on both the card and treat holder. I used our Handheld Stapler (which is being discontinued, get it while you can) and stapled before I added my Designer Paper, but this paper is so busy you could easily staple after and you hardly even notice the small staples.

This is the side view.

Cutting Guide for the Treat Holder:

4 1/4″ x 11″ Real Red Cardstock, score, 1 1/2″, 6 1/2″ and 7″
3″ x 4″ and 1 1/4″ x 4″ Candy Cane Lane Designer Series Paper

Supply List:

These cards and treat holders are fun to make. Now you go and make one. I would love to see photos, or leave me a comment.
