I know you’ve heard me mention that I don’t like coffee, but I’m telling you these stamps like the Merry Cafe (in the Holiday Catalog) & Coffee Cafe (Annual Catalog), I LOVE! I actually love the smell of coffee brewing. Everyone around me drinks coffee, but me. So this newest Coffee stamp is awesome too. Lots of great sentiments covering, Halloween, Fall, Christmas, New Year & Valentines Day. Plus a few images like the leaves, spider web and more. I saw this card on Mary’s blog and changed it up a bit to make it mine. I LOVE all the layers.
Its really a pretty easy card once you figure out all the layers. I started with a piece of the Painted Autumn Designer Series Paper mounted onto a Thick Very Vanilla card base. I did a “trial” run once I figured out my layers. Started out with the Cajun Craze Starburst Punch, added my ribbon, this card has the Peekaboo Peach Crinkled Ribbon, tied a bow and added the Corrugated Tag with Linen Thread. Next I stamped my coffee cup in Early Espresso onto Very Vanilla and sponged it. The coffee top is Garden Green and I winked it with my Clear Wink of Stella. A girls gotta have some sparkle! I also stamped a couple of the leaves just above the Green Striped Paper. I can’t remember what that is called…..
I wanted the Coffee Cup to be popped up, but was still playing around with the leaves on either side. So I put my dimensionals in the center of the back of the cup, then I could add the leaves with a glue dot before adding it to my card.
The leaves are from Gourd Goodness (another new set in the Holiday Catalog). I did have to fussy cut them as there are no matching dies…….To get the two toned leaves I used my sponge dauber and pounced some Cajun Craze and then Garden Green onto the stamp. Stamped them and fussy cut them out. Added a Glue Dot and placed them behind the cup.
For the Copper Leaves, I embossed a piece of the Copper Foil Paper with the Dynamic Layered Leaves Embossing Folder and punched out the leaves with the new Leaf Punch (in the Holiday Catalog). I also added a few of those with a Glue Dot. Once I got my leaves in place I adhered the cup onto my card. I stamped the sentiment in Cajun Craze and die cut with the Stitched Shapes Framelits.
I usually make 2 cards for Stamp Club so if two people are working on the same card they have a sample in front of them. Well, I realized I had used up the awesome Peekaboo Crinkled Ribbon and had to go to plan B, Lemon Lime Twist Ombre Ribbon. Which one do you like better? I think I like the Peekaboo Peach ribbon. Looks like I need to place another order……..Basically same card, just different ribbon. I forgot to mention I added one of the Touches of Nature Elements behind the ribbon with Glue Dots and Winked it too.
You can find all the Fall and Halloween Stamps and Accessories on pages 48-55. We have lots to choose from. The 2017 Holiday Catalog goes live on Friday, September 1st. Don’t have a catalog?
