My first Christmas Card, Using the Ride With Me Bundle

It’s over a 100 degrees as I’m writing this post and very hard to think about Christmas. But I was so excited to get the Ride With Me Bundle when the Annual Catalog went live. I love that the stamp set includes images for Halloween, Birthday and Christmas.

Has this happened to you? You get a brand new stamp set, sit down to create, and nothing comes to mind. Yep, that happened to me. But there are lots of samples in our catalogs, so why not “case” (copy and share everything), when your stamping mojo has taken a vacation? That’s what I did. Take a peak at page 55 of the Annual Catalog. See that cute bag on the bottom left? That’s where I got my inspiration. Now, as you can see, I made a card, used different colors and made it a Christmas Card. Once you get started, your mojo comes back.

I started with a 41/4″ x 11″ Thick Whisper White card base. I die cut just side of the truck ( the die makes a very cute 3d truck) in Cherry Cobbler, Mossy Meadow & Pear Pizzazz. Then I stamped the windows and wheels with Memento Black ink. I also stamped the tree with Memento and colored in with My Stampin’ Blends, Mossy Meadow & Pear Pizzazz. For the bottom truck the tree is slipped just behind the bed of the pick up. For the sentiment I flagged the ends and matted on Cherry Cobbler. I tucked this tree just behind the sentient and that was mounted on a 2 1/4″ Starburst Punch in Whisper White, and then was mounted on the 2nd to largest Stitched Shaped Pear Pizzazz Circle.

To finish off my card, I added a double Linen Thread bow and a couple of Metallic Brads. I cut off the “legs” of the brad and used a Glue Dot to attach to the Cherry Cobbler Truck.
