November Stamp-a-Stack

Here are the first 3 cards we did this month for my Holiday Stamp-a-Stack. First card was cased from Dawn’s Stamping Thoughts. I just changed the main stamp to Big on Christmas as I didn’t have the one she used. Wish I did. Dawn used Holiday Lineup. Just couldn’t justify another Christmas stamp set. The second one uses Deer Friends (love that hostess set) and Best Yet (another hostess set), Ski Slope DSP and Baja…

Snowman Card Using the Top Note Die

Isn’t this cute? I saw one similar on someone’s blog, and of course I can’t remember who. I changed the way she did the hat and the flower. I cut a piece of black & whisper white using the Sizzix Top Note. Cut off half of the black piece at the points in the middle, added a piece of black c/s, 4 1/8″ x 1″ to make the rim. The flower is from the Birds…

Mini Candy Bar Holder

A couple of weeks ago I was checking out Dawn’s Stamping Thoughts and she had this video on how to make these cute little candy holders. They are so easy to make and don’t take a long time to make. These would be really cute if you were doing a craft fair.  I made mine using the Ski Slope DSP from the Holiday Mini Catalog. I used Baja Breeze for the base on both holders.…

Birthday Card for my friend Cindy

This is my first card using Michelle Zindorf’s brayer technique since I took her class a week ago. I wanted to make my friend Cindy a special Birthday card (her birthday is November 8th, hey, I’m even early) using this technique. Not too bad for a rookie…….. I used Lovely as a Tree stamp set with Baja Breeze, Really Rust and Chocolate Chip ink. Finished off the card with some Whisper White Taffeta ribbon. I…

Deer Friends

Check out these 2 cards we made a Cheryl’s Stamp-a-Stack. The first one is a criss cross card using the Sizzix Pennant Die and the Top Note die. We used the reindeer from Deer Friends and added the eyes that move and a red nose. Riding Hood Red ribbon completes this card. I almost forgot to add the Holiday Treasures DSP. The second card uses the same stamp set and DSP, but we used the…

C/D Photo Album

Here is my version of Patty Bennett’s C/D Album. I used “Summer Home” Simply Scrappin’ kit, and added the 1″ Double-Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon, in Chocolate Chip, and a small piece of Kiwi Kiss/Vanilla Satin Ribbon to the front cover. The rest of the album uses all the C/S, DSP and stickers from the Scrapbook Kit.  I made this album for my “Adopted Mom” Carol. She turned 70 years old in September. She loves my Granddaughter’s…

Top Note Teat Box

We made this cute little box in our Stamp Club this month. Of course we used the Sizzix Top Note as the front and the back. I found this tutorial  from Angie Tieman. She modified the “pizza” box pattern for this great box. We also used the Ghostly Greetings DSP and the Pumpkin Pie 1/2″ striped grosgrain ribbon. The bats are made with black c/s and the square scallop punch. So easy, and cute too!…

Look What I Did Yesterday!

Can you believe these cards? And I did them. Of course with the help of Michelle Zindorf. A friend of mine, (Hey D) told me to check out the class with Michelle. Michelle is well know as the gal who does beautiful cards using a brayer. I drove an hour and a half to Sunnyvale, CA to attend her class. It was so worth it! We also got to do a bonus card front, I…

Dogs Got Sprayed by a Skunk!

Yesterday morning (4am) my husband let my dogs out to go potty and they got sprayed by a skunk. Poor Jeremy (brown dog) got it square in the face. Couldn’t even open his eyes. So we sprayed off his head in the shower. Didn’t really want to bath them at 4am. Cassie (tan dog) got a little too. So I slept on the couch for a while then got up and gave them each a…

Holiday Stamp-A-Stack

Here are the two other cards we did last Sunday.  The first one has a Kiwi Kiss base, with the Holiday Treasures DSP, Riding Hood Red and Whisper White.  We used Season of Joy, stamped in Riding Hood Red. You can’t see it in the photo, but I stamped the 3 flowers on the bottom with Riding Hood Red as well. Finished off the stamped piece with some Riding Hood Red satin ribbon. I forgot…
