Thankful Leaf Card

This is one of the cards we will be making in my Card Class this month. I took a piece of our Thick Whisper White Cardstock and made myself a template using the Leaflits Framelits. Using the template, I laid it down on my card and then sponged Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive and Crushed Curry with a sponge dauber. Added the Thankful from Six Sayings which is a hostess stamp set and stamped in Archival Black Ink, a few Gold Sequins and a Linen Thread bow.
Card Base, 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ Thick Whisper White cardstock
Pumpkin Pie, 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″ (I only wanted a little bit of the Pumpkin Pie showing).
Thick Whisper White, 4″ x 5 1/4″

These leaflets Framelits are my “go to” set this past month. Can’t get enough of them. I hope you aren’t getting tired of them.

You can click on each of the photos to order any of these items in my Online Store.

Festival of Trees

I’m so excited. Mary Brown from Create with Connie and Mary has asked me to be one of the designers on the Thursday Challenges. This color combo was a BIG challenge for me. This is truly a “non” traditional Christmas card.

My card base is Smokey Slate, then I added a piece of Thick Whisper White that I embossed with the Softly Falling Embossing Folder. I stamp my trees from Festival of Trees in Smokey Slate and die cut them with the matching Framelits. When you purchase both the stamp set and the Framelits you can save 15%.

I added the 1/4″ Real Red Ribbon for a “splash” of red. The sentiment is stamped with the Archival Black pad that you can now get in the Holiday Catalog.

So, what do you think? I’d love to hear from you!

Kraft Bag Turned Into a Gift Card Holder

This is so clever, another “Patty” card. Take one of our Kraft Tag a Bag Gift Bags (or the Sketched Dots Tag a Bag Gift Bags) and score at 3″ from the bottom. Fold and that makes the base for your gift card. You have 2 slots one for your gift card and the other to stick a tag inside to write on. Add a piece of the Home for Christmas Designer Series Paper to make the Belly Band. The belly band is 2″ x 10″. Tip: when your adding the Designer Series Paper make sure there is enough room for your Santa to show (or the deer, poinsettias, berries, etc). Then add a 3/8″ Whisper White Stitched Satin Ribbon around the paper. Finish it off with the sentiment from Oh, What Fun stamp set (page 5 of the Holiday Catalog). This is a great stamp set with Christmas Greetings.

Look how fun the inside card is. I love that sentiment, Oh, What Fun! We used the Curvy Corner Trio Punch for the top two corners, which is another fun element to this gift card holder. That piece measures 4 1/4″ x 4 1/4″.

Thank you Patty Bennett for the beautiful projects we did on the 17th.
