Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut Paper, Meets, Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper

I was struggling with what to do with the wreath images on the Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper, until I saw Gloria Plunkett’s post. She used the Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut Specialty Paper over the wreaths. Just BRILLIANT! I wanted to make 2 Anniversary cards and also saw on Pinterest where someone had die cut the numbers from the center of the card. I thought I could do that too. Light bulb moment! I know the Large Numbers Framelits are retired……

Of course I had to add a couple of flowers from my favorite set, Tropical Chic, (I told you I was going to be using this set a LOT), and leaf from Botanical Tags.

This is what I used to make both cards. Card base is Grapefruit Grove, 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″.

The sentiment comes from Itty Bitty Greetings. I used the Classic Label Punch to punch out each word. Did you know? If you punch the word all the way to one side, you can put it back in the punch and punch it again?

I’ll be sharing a couple more cards using the Petal Promenade DSP and the wreaths that are on a couple of the sheets, so stay tuned!

Abstract Impressions Congratulations Card

I’ve been wanting to case this card from Connie Collins for a few weeks. What was holding me back? The stitching around the card. Yes, I could have left it off, but I LOVE the stitching around the Garden Impressions Designer Series Paper. So I got my sewing machine out and did the stitching. My machine didn’t love stitching on paper. It seems I always seem to have issue with my tension…….My friend, and upline recently celebrated  her 23rd anniversary with Stampin’ Up! I wanted to make her an awesome card, because she is an awesome leader.

Now for some details; this really is a pretty simple card. Its 4 1/4″ x 4 1/4″, the dsp is 3 3/4″ x 3 3/4″. The strip behind is 1 /2″ x 4 1/4″. Put the Night of Navy Gingham ribbon over that strip of dsp, tie in a bow. Stitch around the dsp, 3 times. add that layer with Dimensionals. Stamp the flowers in Crushed Curry onto a Stitched Shaped Circle. The solid image was stamped off and then stamped. The details are full strength Crushed Curry. The leaves were stamped with Soft Sea Foam Ink.  I added the sentiment from Lilypad Lake stamp set, and the “23” from the Make a Difference stamp set. I backed the Stitched Shaped Circle with a Crushed Curry Scalloped Circle. That was adhered with Dimensionals as well.

I added a 1″ strip of the same dsp as the front (narrow strip) on the inside.

Patty is an amazing leader and I’m thankful everyday I am part of her downline.

Top 2 In Sales for May, Tropical Chic

I totally missed these Copper Tea Tins that are on page 15 of the Annual Catalog. They come 4 tins, $15, #147034. They make the perfect little gift. Speaking of gifts……..I knew they would be perfect for my Top 2 in Sales. Congrats to Becky (#1) and Sheila (#2) for their sales in May.

What is inside you ask? Two rolls of ribbon and a package of Glimmer Enamel Dots. I did have to take the Dots out of the package cut off the edges, (put them back in the package) and I could just fit them in.

Lets talk about adding the Tropical Escape dsp to the tins. Its fast and so easy to add the dsp on the outside of the tins. I took 2 pieces (6 x 6) and adhered them together using Tear & Tape. Then I cut the long side to, 3 1/2″. I will say that I didn’t leave room for the lid on my first one. The second one I cut to 3 3/8″. The lid fits a little better.

I used Tombow Multi Liquid Glue to adhere to the tin. Start in the middle of one of the sides add glue, add dsp, smooth down, then add a little more glue and keep doing that all the way around. This way you can keep the dsp straight.

You can see what I was talking about with leaving a little bit showing of the tin so the lid will fit better in the photos below. Make sure you let it dry for a few minutes before you add the lid.

To decorate the tins I used a couple new products. The focal point is the Stitched Labels die, using the Tropical Escape dsp. I stamped the sentiment from the matching stamp set, Stitched All Around. Then I stamped my flowers and leaves with a “twist”. Ink up your stamp in the lightest color, then take a sponge dauber and add the darker color. See how pretty the leaves and flowers are now? Just die cut, add a Dimensional, and add to your tin. Make sure you “wink” your flowers with Wink of Stella.

Then I wanted a card to go along with the tin, so I used the Narrow Note Cards & Envelopes. I had the left over pieces from the tin and they fit perfectly (just had to cut the length). So they are 2″ x 4 1/2″.  I used the Metallic Ribbon Combo Pack, (Petal Pink) to add ribbon all the way around.  Added a Whisper White Stitched Shape stamped with You are the greatest, and another flower and some leaves. To finish the card and tin off I added some of our Glitter Enamel Dots,
