Welcome Easter, Jubilee Beauty Dies & So Very Vellum Specialty Designer Paper

Tuesday Patty Bennett and I got together to stamp. I’ve got some awesome cards to share with you today and be on.

We usually each design a few cards and have everything ready to put together. I was short on time, so I pulled out some of the stamps and dies that I wanted to use, that I hadn’t used or used that much. The Jubilee Dies was first on my list, So I die cut each of us two in Whisper White. From there, Patty had brought a bunch of the So Very Vellum Specialty dsp and we started to form our cards. We also wanted to use the Welcome Easter stamp set. The stamp set has 3 animals and the Vellum has 3 colors in the package. Perfect! A plan was formed.

Welcome Easter, Jubilee Beauty Dies, Ruched Ribbon, Organdy Striped Ribbon, Reversible Ribbon, Leaf Punch, Small Bloom Punch

The So Very Vellum dsp is so beautiful. Hard to tell on these cards, but each piece comes embossed. Patty had noticed that if you put the same color cardstock as the Vellum behind the Vellum, it was much darker. Pool Party has Pool Party cardstock, Purple Posy, has Purple Posy cardstock, & Soft Sea Foam has Soft Sea Foam cardstock behind each piece. Make sense?

We started with a card base of Thick Whisper White cardstock, 4 1/4″ x 11″ and then added the Vellum & matching cardstock, cut at 4″ x 5 1/4″.  Next we added the Jubilee Beauty Die cuts, one on top and the other on the bottom. We left about 5/8″ between the two pieces. You will want to add the ribbon now. I will list all the ribbons and accessories in my supply list at the end.

We die cut the largest Oval from the Stitched Shapes Dies in Whisper White. Your animals will be going on each of the Stitched Ovals.

Next we stamped all the animals in Memento Black Ink and colored with Stampin’ Blends. Then fussy cut and added dimensionals to the back, then added them to the Stitched Oval. Add more Dimensionals to the Oval and adhere to the center of the card.

Welcome Easter, Jubilee Beauty Dies, Ruched Ribbon, Organdy Striped Ribbon, Reversible Ribbon, Leaf Punch, Small Bloom Punch, So Very Vellum dsp

The “chick” card uses the Purple Posy Vellum and So Saffron (light & dark) & Pumpkin Pie Blends.  I added the flowers punched from Vellum & cardstock and offset them with a Glue Dot. Added another Glue Dot and attached to my card. The flower centers are Faceted Gems colored with a Dark Mango Melody Stampin’ Blend. I used the Daffodil Delight Ruched Ribbon tied in a bow.  The sentiment is also in the Welcome Easter stamp set. I stamped with Gorgeous Grape and made it into a banner. I did go back and add some Wink of Stella to the flowers.

Next up is the Soft Sea Foam Vellum. I used Light Crumb Cake & Petal Pink Blends to color the bunny. The little flower is from the stamp set and fussy cut and attached with a Glue Dot. It also has a Champagne Rhinestone in the center. I used the Petal Pink Organdy Striped Ribbon for this card and tied in a knot. The sentiment is on a piece of Whisper White cut at 5/8″ x 3″. I also added a couple flowers using the Small Bloom Punch and Petal Pink cardstock. I “winked” the flowers and added a couple of Vellum leaves from the Leaf Punch.

My last card uses the Pool Party Vellum & Gray Granite, Petal Pink & Pool Party Stampin’ Blends for the lamb. The Reversible Old Olive & Pretty Peacock Ribbon is tied into a bow. I added 3 sets of leaves from the Leaf Punch under the lamb cut from Vellum. The sentiment is 1/2″ x 3″ Whisper White and I clipped each end to make a banner.  I also “winked” the leaves and added a few of the Noble Peacock Rhinestones.

Oh my gosh! These cards were so much fun to make. I’m starting to feel a little more confident in my coloring with the Blends. That’s not to say that I don’t need more practice, because I know I do. Make sure you check out Patty’s cards. We almost always do our cards a bit different than each other.  We have to put our “own” spin on each card.

The Small Bloom Punch and the So Very Vellum are both items you can get for FREE during Sale-a-bration. Check out the brochure after my supply list.

Goodie Bag

My Spring Wreath Class is tomorrow.

I wanted to make a simple tag to go with the items they will need to finish the wreath. So I went to my “go to” die set, Stitched So Sweetly. I hope you aren’t tired of this Die set yet. It is my all time fav!

I added the Clear & Frosted Epoxy Droplets, Mango Melody Stampin’ Blend & Tombow Liquid Glue (all products that were included in the class) to one of our Printed Gusseted Bags and tied it up with some of the Rococo Rose Gathered Ribbon. In a Clear Envelope I gave each person their own sponges, as they will be doing a lot of sponging. I used the Circle Tab Punch and stapled it to a wedge of sponge. I cut each sponge into 4ths and added the tab. This way they won’t forget which color they are using.  They will use the Stampin’ Blend to color the Epoxy Droplets and the glue to put their tulips together.

Stitched So Sweetly Dies, So Sentimental Bundle, Printed Gusseted Cello Bags, Gathered Ribbon, Small Blossom Punch

I first stamped the sentiment twice, once in Flirty Flamingo & again in Gorgeous Grape. I die cut the Gorgeous Grape with the label die in Stitched So Sweetly bundle and cut around the Thank You with my Paper Snips for the Flirty Flamingo. Add Dimensionals to that and attached it right over the Gorgeous Grape. To finish I added a few Champagne Rhinestones. Punched a small hole and added the tag to the ribbon with Linen Thread.  Done!

But I felt like it was missing something. So I added a Flower using the Small Bloom Punch, with a Rhinestone from the Noble Peacock Rhinestones. Oh, and I sponged some Flirty Flamingo Ink on the flower. Now I’m done! LOL

2018-2020 In Colors Will Be Retiring Soon

Do you have all the 2018-2020 In Color products you want? Now is a great time to purchase them and get Sale-a-bration rewards too. You can click on any of the thumb nail photos and it will take you to my Online Store. The retiring In Colors are usually the first to go as soon as the retirement list is posted. Usually the end of April, first part of May.

I’ve paired the 2018-2020 In Colors with the Flowering Foils Specialty dsp (SAB) along with the Layered With Kindness stamp set and the Label Me Lovely Punch.

They look so pretty all together.

Start out with a 4 1/4″ 11″ Card Base.

2018-2020 In Colors, Layered With Kindness, Label Me Lovely Punch, Stitched So Sweetly, Flowering Foils Specialty dsp

Cut a piece of the Flowering Foils dsp, 2″ x 5 1/2″. Use coordinating Ink to sponge color. Don’t forget to use a tissue or paper towel to pick up the extra ink, as the ink won’t stick to the embossed pattern.  Add a piece of the 1/4″ coordinating ribbon and adhere to card front. The Flowering Foils dsp is a FREE Sale-a-bration item you can get with a $50 order. You can view the whole Sale-a-bration brochure HERE!

Stamp the sentiment twice on Whisper White and punch with the Label Me Lovely Punch. Cut out the Happy Birthday from one of them with Paper Snips. Add Dimensionals and add to the one you didn’t cut up. Add more Dimensionals and attached to card front.

Don’t forget the inside.

Stamp the leaves with coordinating Ink on the front and also on the inside Stitched So Sweetly Scalloped Rectangle. Adhere the Rectangle to the inside.

To finish off, I added a few Champagne Rhinestones.
