Bloomin’ Beautiful

I really didn’t like the Afternoon Tea Designer Papers when I first saw them in the Occasions Mini Catalog. Wasn’t really crazy about this stamp set, Bloomin’ Beautiful either. But boy do I love them now. I have seen so many beautiful cards using these papers and this stamp set that I caved and had to have them both. Just like I had to have the Carousel Notes too. My husband always tells me; “Honey, there isn’t a tool that I don’t need”, so for me “there isn’t a stamp set or designer paper that I don’t need either”.¬†

These cards were a little time consuming but so worth the trouble. The flowers are layered, all water colored and the scallops were made using the large oval punch. You just cut them in half and use your 2-way glue pen to attach them. I guess you could call this a faux scallop. These cards will go inside a portfolio that I will show you next week. This is just a little tease.

Photo of Me and My Sister

It was really bugging me that our photo wasn’t straight. So, my DH and I just fixed it. Sometimes its the little things that make me happy…….

Swap Tote

This has been a long week for my family. My MIL went into the hospital early Sunday morning not being able to breath. She has many health issues. She is doing great now and went home on Wednesday. So I haven’t had much time to stamp. Isn’t this a cute little basket? I made this to hold my swaps, using the Summer Picnic Designer Papers from the Occasions Mini Catalog & the striped grosgrain ribbon. I am fortunate enough to be going to Patty Bennett’s meeting ( thanks to my stampin’ buddy Lynne Marini) this month and this will be great for all my swaps. I think I will make one for Patty too and surprise her. This week I will be making my swaps and promise I will share.
