Swap Tote

This has been a long week for my family. My MIL went into the hospital early Sunday morning not being able to breath. She has many health issues. She is doing great now and went home on Wednesday. So I haven’t had much time to stamp. Isn’t this a cute little basket? I made this to hold my swaps, using the Summer Picnic Designer Papers from the Occasions Mini Catalog & the striped grosgrain ribbon. I am fortunate enough to be going to Patty Bennett’s meeting ( thanks to my stampin’ buddy Lynne Marini) this month and this will be great for all my swaps. I think I will make one for Patty too and surprise her. This week I will be making my swaps and promise I will share.

Tart and Tangy Cherries

Thank you to “Stamp Like Crazy” for this cute idea using your 1/2″ circle punch for the cherries. I changed a couple of things from her card and made it my own. I added the Real Red 5/8″ ribbon, sponged the white (around the cherries) and used the words “thank you” from Enjoy Every Moment. This was  a fast and very easy card. Great if you have to make up several at one time.

Ok so I’m really new at this blog stuff. So I hope you all will be kind to me. I truly am trying to get this blogging stuff. Thanks to my stampin’ friend Lynne, she has been helping me out. So I am going to master this computer stuff, even if it kills me. I told myself that this was the year for me to get computer savy. So, now I have a demonstrator website, a blog, and I’m going to learn how to do digital scrapbooking. On top of all that, my DH bought me a new Apple computer for Christmas last year and I am still relearning what little I knew on my Dell computer. So again, be gentle with me while viewing my blog and my website.
