It’s my birthday Thursday,

So I thought I might have a birthday present for you. This offer valid for Thursday, January 14th from 6am to 8pm only, FREE shipping on all orders $50 or more. Plus you also get to choose an item from the Sale-a-bration catalog (SAB). How cool is that. Now in order to get the free shipping you need to email or phone in your order to me.

I’m sure you have seen these flowers pins everywhere. They are so much fun to make with the Flower Folds die and a little hot glue. I’m having a class on Saturday, January 30th, 10am-noon. I will have the fabric cut out and ready to go for you. Contact me if you would like to come. These look so much better in person. I will have several different fabrics to choose from. First come, first served. Class fee $10.

Control Freak Swap

This is my swap for ControlFreakSwappers. I used the Eggcoutrements stamp set in the Occasions mini. The card base is Certainly Celery, Very Vanilla is embossed with the new Perfect Polka Dots Impressions folder and the butterflies are also new called Beautiful Wings. You get four different butterflies that are embossed on this die. Love it! The Orchid Opulence card stock was used to cut the Petals Card die and the new Vanilla Satin ribbon is wrapped around that. I punched the Easter with the Designer label punch and layered that on top of the Wide Oval punch in Certainly Celery. The Shades of Spring Designer paper was used to cut out the piece under the ribbon. I used the Perfect Setting die (the napkin ring). I almost forgot about the little bunny stamped with Orchid Opulence on the bottom of the Petals Card die. It was nice to make this card just before Christmas, kind of gave me a break from Christmas for a while.

I just got my swaps back, OMG they are the best. Love them! Thanks Girl’s.

Back From Leadership

Can I say, Stampin’ Up! spoils us? Leadership was so much fun, almost like a mini convention, without so many people. First the bag we received when we checked in is so cute. Inside was a new stamp set from the mini, With all My Heart, a spanish catalog, mini & SAB catalogs and more. Our make n takes were fun too.

They had 3 booths with people demoing different products. Patty Bennett had such cute ideas using the Easter kit and Recipe kit in the mini. You have to see the bird houses from the mini milk carton die, and the two step bird and branch punch also in the mini. (I will have photos later, promise). The Easter kit comes with rub-ons & bling. And so many other things you can do with this kit than just use it for Easter.
Jill Olsen, (she has been a demo since day #1, her demo number is five) she demoed how to use your Big Shot to do quilting. OMG, did you know that you can cut 8 layers of fabric if there is not a score line on the die? So any of the circle, scallop you would be able to cute 8 at once. What a time saver. If there is a score line you can cut 3 at one time. Another time she gave us ALWAYS use a shim. What is a shim? Just a piece of card stock. Also when you take off the top acrylic plate, slide it off and it doesn’t separate all the pieces because of the static electricity.
The 3rd booth the gal was demoing (can’t remember her name) how do make boxes using your Mover & Shaper die. So many cute ideas.
I felt like I learned so much from the 2 1/2 days I was in Phoenix, I’m on info overload, but in a good way.
Shelli (co-founder of SU) is so generous. At the end of Leadership she gave us a new stamp set that will be in the next mini. So cute, kind of shabby chic. And then she gave us a quilt square using the 5 point star die. All of the employees from the Kanobe manufacturing plant (where we make our stamps) brought in their own sewing machines and made 1000 quilt squares for us. Can you believe that? It was so exciting when they started passing these out.
Everything was first class. I forgot to mention our lunch was on white table cloths, with real china, silverware. The food was to die for. And did I mention the deserts? OMG! Not only were they good they made such a pretty presentation. Of course I didn’t even think to take a photo. Speaking of photos, I haven’t had a chance to upload my photos, so as so as I do, I will be posting many.
