Happy Birthday Tracey!

Here is the birthday card I sent my sister. I used the Urban Garden Designer Series paper and cut out the flower and layered it with dimensionals. The candle & the swirls on the cake are Sizzix dies that I’ve had for while and thought they added to the cake. This is The Three Tier Cake Pop Up Bigz XL die that we sell. This die is so fun to make. I think it took me longer to decorate the front than to actually make the cake. You can click to see a better photo.

Happy Birthday Tracey!

Friday is my Sister’s Birthday! Yeah! Wish we could celebrate with her, but since she is in Ohio, and I’m in California, not gonna happen, at least this year anyway. So as promised, this is what I sent her for her birthday. She got her package today, a day before her birthday. That usually doesn’t happen. The beautiful kids in the frame are my grandkids. Jocelyn, Gianna & Anthony.

Here is another frame I’ve done with the water colored flowers and coated them with Crystal Effects.    I tried to come close to Baja Breeze and Kiwi Kiss for the frame colors which are acrylic paints. I can’t seem to get enough of making these flowers. For the rose I water colored four  of them and then cut them out, different for each layer. Dimensionals were used to put them together, layer by layer. The other flowers I used our Corduroy Brads. I really love these a lot. I hope they put them in the new catalog coming out July 1st.  Click on the photos to get a better look.

Shoebox Swap with Two Friends

Here are the cards  Lynne designed. First one is with the Manhattan Flower Textured Impressions Die (now thats a mouth full!). We used Vellum for the flower and ran it through the Big Shot (love my Big Shot), cut around the flowers and adhered it to the front of Pink Pirouette card stock and added some of the Whisper White Organza ribbon and then you’re done. I didn’t add the sentiment yet. Not sure if this will be a birthday, get well, or a thank you card.

The second card is done with the Stampin’ Up Baskets & Blooms die. We only used one of the baskets and laid it flat instead of making it into a basket. Pretty cool! We also used the Stampin’ Up! Little leaves and hand cut the tulips. My tulips are pretty sad. I think it was my last card and I was tired by then. No stamping on this card, but isn’t it cute?
For my two projects we did the dress card and the water colored flowers which you’ve seen both of these on my blog and everyone else’s.
