I found this cute project on Becky Roberts blog.
I used Riding Hood Red, Pink Pirouette & Very Vanilla c/s along with the Love You Much stamp set, punch and Candy Lane DSP. Becky’s instructions are great. I think I’m going to put inside one of the cartons some home made caramels. I found the recipe here
. Not sure about the other cartons. These aren’t too big so you don’t have to put a lot inside them. And they have this cute bottom closure so you don’t have to mess up the top to put your goodies inside.
On another note, I finally got the Love You Much flyer on my sidebar. If you click on it, you will see the Love You Much promotion that is going on until the end of January. 20% off this bundle. You get, Love You Much stamp set, Punch and Candy Lane DSP. They are so yummy! So check it out! I used the punch on the front and back of the carton holder. 3 hearts on one punch. I heard a rumor that we are also getting a large heart in the new catalog that comes out on January 18th. Yipee!
I have finally added the Love You Much bundle to the sideline on my blog. But I’m having issues for you to see the flyer when you click on the image. I am working on it, hopefully I will have an answer in the morning. And yes it really is 2:50am. Another night not being able to sleep. Will this ever get better (the sleep part)?
I will be posting a couple of new projects in the morning, as I still have to take photos.
I almost forgot, I finally posted the retired list on my sidebar as well. Just click on the image and it will take you to the list. Got that one to work, yeah!
These pails are the cute little gifts my Stamp Club ladies received form me. I found the pails at Target in the $1 section and filled them with Nestle Stixx Mix. (Cheryl & Sandie, I have yours too!) Everyone loved the Stixx Mix and so I will share the recipe with everyone.
Nestle Stixx Mix
4 cups oven-toasted corn cereal
2 cuts popped popcorn
1/2 cup walnut halves, pecan halves, slivered almonds or dry-roasted peanuts
1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
1/4 cup light corn syrup
1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1 box (3.64 ounces) any flavor Nestle Stixx, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
1/2 cup dried cranberries or raisins
Preheat oven to 250 degrees. Grease 12 x 9 inch baking pan. Combine cereal, popcorn and nuts in prepared pan. Combine brown sugar, corn syrup, and butter in medium saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring until butter is melted. Boil without stirring for 3 minutes. Remove from heat; stir in vanilla extract and baking soda. Pour over cereal mixture; stir to coat. Bake for 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes. Cool completely in pan, stirring frequently. Stir in Nestle Stixx and cranberries or raisins. Store in airtight container.
Makes 8 servings.
Once you start eating this, you won’t want to quit.
I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and and Happy New Year!
