Patty’s Card Box

Yesterday a few of us were honored to celebrate with our friend/team leader her 2 million in career sales. Many of the Demonstrators in Patty’s group contributed money towards a Brighton Gift card and made cards for Patty.  I will share the card I made for her tomorrow. Today I’m going to share the box I decorated to put all the cards I received for Patty.

Its not a celebration unless you have cake, right? White Chocolate Raspberry cake from Just Bundt Cakes. It was delicious!

I started with a piece of Shimmery Cardstock and sponged, Poppy Parade, Calypso Coral & Petal Pink Ink. We refer to these colors as “Patty” colors. lol

Flowers for Patty's Box, Scallop Heart Punch, Spiral Flower (retired)die, Leaf Punch, Vellum, Shimmery White cardstock, Gold Embossing Powder

Then I punched out a bunch of the Scallop Hearts, spritzed them with rubbing alcohol & Shimmer Paint, scrunched them up and let them dry.

Really, I can’t believe I didn’t take a photo when I was putting them together……I used our Silicone Mat and hot glued the bottom of the hearts together offsetting them as I went. Once I got the flower big enough and the way I wanted, I cupped them in my hand and scrunched a little more. Then I dipped the tips of the flower into Versamark Ink (again no photo….) and Gold Embossing Powder and heat set.

For the inside of each flower I took a piece of Black cardstock, 2″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 1″ and adhered together so now you have         1″ x 8 1/2″. I took our old Fringe Scissors (you could also just cut with regular scissors) and cut into about 1/2″. Then rolled up adhering with hot glue every so often. Fan out the fringe part and glue the opposite end to the center of your flower.

For the smaller roses I used a retired (a LONG time ago when we had the big thick dies) Spiral Flower Die. It is one retired item I pull out every so often. I die cut 3 each of Poppy Parade, Calypso Coral & Petal Pink and sponged with same color. I spritzed each one and scrunched up into a ball and let dry. I used my Heat Tool to speed up the drying time.  Then rolled each one up and glued together with hot glue.  I flattened each flower a little and dipped into Versamark Pad and then into Gold Embossing Powder and heat set.

I used a bunch of the leaves from the Poppy Moments Dies in Old Olive and Mossy Meadow. Each one was also sponged with same colors. I punched some Vellum leaves with the Leaf Punch and again, dipped in my Versamark Pad and then Gold Embossing Powder and heat set. I made the bow using Petal Pink 1/4″ Metallic Edge Ribbon & 5/8″ Petal Pink Organdy Striped Ribbon. The bow maker I used is called Pro Bow, the Hand. Its really made for using larger ribbon, but I made it work fine for this ribbon. I  added the flowers and leaves with hot glue, placing the leaves randomly around the flowers.

I found the box at Michael’s. I loved the saying on the side, ENJOY every little thing. I was going to decorate a basket, but when I saw this I knew it would be better. Now Patty can  keep all her celebration cards in one place.

I finished off the top with some Clear Epoxy Droplets that I colored with Dark Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blend. The sentiment comes from the Peaceful Moments stamp set, its embossed with Gold Embossing Powder. I think I went back and splattered some Wink of Stella by using the lid on the whole thing.

I decided to add some Petal Pink Small Blossoms (SAB) all around. I had all ready taken my photos when I decided to add them.

So once again, so proud to be a part of Patty’s downline and get to celebrate her milestone. She is the 6th person in Stampin’ Up! to achieve 2 million in career Sales. WOW!
