If you are looking for a way to use up some of that dsp you are hoarding, look no further. I found this fun fold card on Meg Loven’s blog.
Start with a 4″ x 12″ piece of the Peaceful Poppies dsp (which means you can get 3 cards from each 12 x 12 piece of dsp), score, 51/2″, 6″ & 6 1/2″. Die cut the frame that comes with the Painted Poppies Bundle. You will also need a piece of Whisper White cut at, 3 1/2″ x 5″.
First fold at the score lines, mountain, valley, mountain. Glue them together so the extra flap is on the inside. Now set the Whisper White piece centered inside, close card, and add a few guide lines where you die cut the frame. You will erase these lines once you stamp. Stamp the Poppies in Black Memento Ink, and stamp the splotch in Poppy Parade. Don’t worry if it goes out of the lines. Its meant to look like water coloring. Next stamp the leaves in Mossy Meadow Ink, ink up the small dots and stamp inside the leaves a couple of times without reinking. Now you can erase your pencil lines, and adhere to the inside.
You will need to die cut 2 of the small medallions in Poppy Parade, one for the front of the card and one for the inside. Also stamp two of the smaller flowers like you did for the inside and two leaves, die cut them with the matching dies.
Add the other flower, leaf and medallion to the front lower right side of the frame, both with Dimensionals. Add the double Linen Thread bow with a Glue Dot and a few of the Peaceful Poppies Sequins with Tombow Liquid Glue.
The sentiment is from the Peaceful Moments Stamp Set stamped with Memento Black Ink. I die cut it from the Stitched So Sweetly curved die. Attach over opening with a Dimensional on each side.
