Positive Thoughts & Nature’s Thoughts Dies

I loved the Positive Thoughts stamp set (page 23 in the Mini Catalog) and wished it had matching dies. Well, guess what? In the Coordination Product Release, is the Nature’s Thoughts Dies. Yipeee!! You can get your hands on the stamp set right now, and the dies on Tuesday, February 4th. I only used 2 of the dies for this card. The two branches (not sure what to call them….) and the next layer. It has stitching all around.

Lets start with the base. Its a 4 1/4″ x 11″ piece of Crumb Cake, scored at 5 1/2″. I roughed up the edges and sponged with Crumb Cake Ink. I wanted a vintage feel.  Next I stamped the words (from Parisian Beauty) onto the left side of the card base. I die cut the large rectangle in the Natures Thoughts dies and roughed up the edges and sponged. Stamp the branches in Crumb Cake 3 times, only inking once. Stamp the branches on a scrap of Whisper White in Crumb Cake & Poppy Parade. Die cut them and add with Mini Dimensionals. Add a Poppy Parade mat cut at, 3″ x 4 1/2″ & Dimensionals to the back and attach to your card base.

Positive Thoughts, Nature's Thoughts Dies, Parisian Beauty Stamp Set, Big Shot, Peaceful Moments,The sentiment is from the Peaceful Moments stamp set on page 27 of the Mini Catalog. Its cut at, 3/4″ x 4 1/4″. Add Dimensionals to just the ends and attach to the card like in my photo. Don’t forget the inside of your card. I had glued on of the flowers to the inside and then decided I wanted to add a piece of Whisper White. I just cut a 4″ square to write my message. I also stamped the flowers on my envelope.

I sent this card to my friend Patty Bennett. She gave Laurie and I each a huge cello bag full of ribbon, note cards, & Champagne Rhinestones for helping with the Luv2Stamp meeting. She does make my life better, not by what she gives me but by being my friend.

To finish, I colored 5 of the Gold Glitter Enamel Dots (they are retired, but you could use Pearls or Rhinestones as well,) with Dark Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blend. Let dry a few seconds before adding to your card.
