That is whats happening for the SUO Challenge. So, flowers were definitely on the agenda for this challenge.
I had a piece of the Springtime Foils Specialty Designer Series Paper (Sale-a-bration, get for FREE with a $50 order) that was sitting on my desk and thought, why can’t I use this dsp for my card base? Yep, it worked. I cut an inch off the bottom and colored it with my Memento Ink Pad and glued to the inside of my card. I like the contrast of the white with the black. Make sure you use a paper towel to hold it while you run your pad over the paper. Otherwise you will have finger prints. You can see it better in a couple of the other photos.
I stamped the flowers and sentiment with Black Memento Ink (its the recommended ink if you are going to use the Stampin” Blends), and then colored the flowers with Bermuda Bay Stampin’ Blends & the leaves with Old Olive. I used the Southern Serenade Stamp set found on page 49 of the Occasions Catalog. Then die cut using the Lots of Labels Framelits. They are one of my favorite “go to” dies., (besides the Stitched Shapes Framelits). This card is going to someone very special in my life…….shhhhh, its a secret.I used a piece of Whisper White cut at 1 3/8″ square for the sentiment. Oh, and this sentiment is perfect for my “friend”, because I am blessed to have her as my friend. I also used a piece of 3/8″ Bermuda Bay Mini Chevron Ribbon, and I “winked” the flowers with Wink of Stella, oh course! LOL!I hope you like my card today and that you play along with the SUO Challenge: http://suochallenges.com/
