Stamp Case Notepad

These notepads are always a big hit whenever we do them in class. I thought Laurie might like a “special” notepad for OnStage. This was her first Stampin’ Up! event.

You can purchase the Stamp Cases in the Annual Catalog on page 182. They come in package of 4, $6.

However you decide to decorate the stamp case, remember it has to be flat with no dimensionals, Rhinestones, or Pearls. So with that being said, I decided to use the Brightly Gleaming Specialty DSP. You need a piece that is about 6 7/8″ x 10 1/2″. You can slip it right in that plastic piece. I like to put it in and shut the case so you can see where you want to decorate on the front.  Since I was using this beautiful DSP, I might as well use the Brightly Gleaming Foil Elements, which worked out perfectly since they are flat. I added a few of the stars (they come in all different sizes.) Use Tombow Liquid Glue to adhere them to the dsp.  I also used a copper Ornate Frame Die and the Large Letters (retired) Dies.  I used Wink of Stella on the “L”. Once I had all the elements on the front, I slipped it into the plastic piece.

Now for the inside. I had purchased these notepads at Staples some time ago and had them cut off 1″ from the bottom so it will fit in our stamp cases. They can do a whole stack at one time with their big cutting machine. They charge a small fee. I took a 2″ piece of the dsp and added to the front so you don’t see the Staples logo, and also added a strip of Copper Foil Paper. And also die cut a Copper “L”.  Once that was done, I added some Tear & Tape to the back and adhered it to the Stamp Case.

I ended up using some of the Gold Metallic Ribbon and colored it with my Pretty Peacock Stampin’ Blend and tied it around the stamp case into a bow. I had already taken my photos and didn’t have time (can you say? last minute Lucy……) to retake them.

I also made this cute little purse from Stampin’ Gala. It holds 4 Ghirardelli squares. I wrapped each piece with dsp. No photo…….again.Supply List:
