I’m blending some of the new with the old today. The first layer on my card is using the Petal Burst Embossing Folder. I decided I wanted to use the debossed side. Then I added some of our new Crushed Curry 3/8″ Mini Chevron Ribbon. The sentiment from the Eastern Beauty Stamp Set has this great greeting, to think of you is to smile. I used my 1 3/4″ & 2″ Circle Punches to punch them out. I attached using a couple of Dimensionals. For the flower I die cut 2 of the Big Medallions in Crushed Curry, sponged and offset them to make my sunflower fuller.
For the leaves I used my Leaflets Framlits in Old Olive and sponged with Old Olive. The center of my flower is a 1 1/2″ Circle Punch, in Early Espresso. Use any stamp that has the small dots, I used one that is being discontinued (and honestly, can’t remember which one…old brain). Many of our stamp sets come with those dots. Then I sponged with Early Espresso and attached with a couple of Dimensionals.
Tip: When attaching a layer that has been embossed, I use the Tombow Liquid Glue. This way the glue gets in more of the crevices and adheres better.
Not a whole lot of stamping, but I really liked how it turned out. You’ve probably seen many versions of the Sunflower online.
