Brightly Lit Christmas

My Friend Patty brought this card with her for us to make a while back. Since I don’t have this set, I was super excited. Ok, who am I kidding? I’m always excited to stamp with Patty, no matter what we make…LOL Back to the card, we started with a Thick Whisper White card base, added a Black mat, and then a piece of the Year Of Cheer Specialty Paper. The snowflakes were perfect for…

The Happy Couple & Christmas Quilt Cards

The wedding went off without a hitch. We weren’t allowed any photos at the Chapel of the Flowers where they got married, so this is at brunch after the wedding. It was a lovely ceremony, simple. You can check out the card we gave them  HERE! And I have to share these cute soaps. Nectar Bath Treats store is in the Mirage Hotel in Las Vegas. OMG, that store smells amazing, but not like going…

Wedding Card, a Little New, a Little Old

My Son and his fiance are getting married in Las Vegas on Saturday. This is the card I made for them. Their colors are Real Red & Very Vanilla. I added just a “splash” of red to the Gold Metalic-Edge Ribbon. I love the sentiment in the Cheers to the Year stamp set which is on page 37 of the Holiday Catalog. It pretty much sealed the deal, if you know what I mean. It…

Painted Harvest CASE (Copy & share everything)

I received the card on the right from Patty Bennett. She sends cards to all top 15 in her downline for sales. I needed one more card for my Card Class last week and thought, hmmmmm, I’m going to case Patty. I changed a couple of things, but the layout is basically the same. I loved how Patty used the “burlap” stamp, it gives the card a lot of texture without all the bulk. So…

Gourd Goodness

What a fun name for a stamp set. I originally bought this set because of the beautiful leaves, but look at these gorgeous pumpkins. Its a two step stamp with both pumpkins. At first when I stamped the solid image, I thought, you really don’t need the 2nd stamp…….boy was I wrong. It totally makes the pumpkin “pop”. Then I “winked” it with Wink of Stella. The stems each have two stamps too. I am…

Painted Harvest, Patty’s Way

Isn’t this card beautiful? This one was designed by Patty. Its got 6 layers but still a simple design. We started off with a Whisper White card base (you could use the new Thick Very Vanilla too). The flowers were stamped on Whisper White using Daffodil Delight for the first color, then Crushed Curry to add the highlights. The inside of the flowers are Early Espresso as well as the sentiment. We fussy cut the…

Painted Harvest Fall Card

I really love how this card turned out. I’ve seen several takes on this technique. I LOVE the Painted Harvest Stamp Set. What better way to show it off than with the word FALL, using the Large Letter Dies. I originally did the one of the left. When Patty and I got together a while back we made this card and I totally forgot the top two layers. They both work, but really like the…

Merry Cafe Hot Cocoa Mug

You may have seen this card yesterday. I put the wrong date in and it posted early before I had put in the text. So sorry for that. But now I have the text done so you can see how I made the card. Isn’t this a fun card? I totally cased it from Monica Gale. I loved everything about it, and it uses the Coffee Cups Framelits. The snowflakes are from Seasonal Layers Thinlits.…

Blast from the Past, SUO Challenge

So this weeks challenge is a blast from the past. I don’t save many retired stamps, but I did happen to save this one back from 2004. The name of the set is Hope Is….. I have a special person I am going to send this to who is going having a lot of medical issues between herself and her son. I am blending some new with the old. My card base and first layer…

Glossy Paper Leaves

Here I go again, back to the Glossy Paper and Re-inkers. Watch my video HERE. This technique just screams FALL! don’t you think? On the other cards I did, I used a big piece and and then die cut. This time I die cut the leaves from Seasonal Layers Framelits and then used the re-inkers and water to spread the ink. Before the ink dried, I laid the cut out leaf (skeleton leaf) onto the…
