Spooky Cat, Not Spooky at All!

This is another card we did in my Holiday Card Class this month. I love the cat punch, and check out the new Black Crochet Trim. This is a pretty easy card to put together. We have a Black card base, with a 2 1/2″ piece of the Spooky Night Designer Paper, (don’t forget to add your Vintage Crochet Trim) on the left and a 1 3/4″ piece of Pumpkin Pie cardstock that was…

Count my Blessings Watercolor Card, Holiday Catalog Now Live!

This is another beautiful stamp set in the Holiday Catalog. Its on page 50. My Stamp Club Gals will be making this one too! I’ve got a 1 3/4″ strip of the Painted Autumn Designer Series Paper on the left side. I stamped the flower image onto Watercolor Paper with Black Archival Ink twice, and cut one of each of the flowers out. This really makes the flowers pop. I water colored with my Aqua…

At Home With You

I made this card for a co-worker of my husbands. They just signed papers on their house, and I knew this would be the perfect stamp set to use. I asked hubby, what does their front door look like? What color is their door? Of course he couldn’t remember (he fixed their a/c), so I decided to go with the green brick (not sure why I chose green), using the Embossing Paste with Pear Pizzazz…

Climbing Orchid Card

I know what you are thinking…….there are a LOT of stamps and dies in this set. It can be very intimidating, yes it can, but once you play with it, you will see how all the pieces go together. And when you pair this set with the Jar of Love, you have a great card. Thank you Patty Bennett! We started off with a Berry Burst card base and a piece of Whisper White cardstock…

You Move Me Card

This week its all about Dragonflies & Butterflies for the SUO Challenge. Here is a secret……I’ve been hording this pattern in the Naturally Eclectic Designer Series Paper. Why? I don’t really know. Its one of my favorites. So I decided to use a 2″ x 4 1/4″ strip of it for my card. This was really a pretty simple card to put together. Make sure you add the sentiment BEFORE you emboss. I didn’t think…

Big on Birthdays

It’s that time again, for the Stampin’ Up! Only Challenge. This week its Birthdays. My niece has a birthday this month. Perfect! I haven’t used the Big on Birthday stamp set much, so decided to dust it off and use it. I stamped the sentiment (& flowers) on Watercolor Paper with Black Archival Ink. I have to say I didn’t get a real good image and ended up using my Project Life Journaling Pens (they…

Stampin’ Up! Only Challenge, Stampin’ Up! Products That are New to Us

This is the first time I’ve used the Sharing Sweet Thoughts stamp set. Did you know that this is a special stamp set? Every year Stampin’ Up! designs a stamp set for the Ronald McDonald House. For every stamp set sold, Stampin’ Up! donates $3. So far we’ve contributed over $1.5 million. So besides this being a super cute stamp set, its also raising money, and it goes with the Everyday Jars Framelits. Win/win/win! Those…

Just Breathe

How many times a day do you say that to yourself? For me, that would be several times a day…..This card makes me think I’m sitting on a beach somewhere. Hey, a girl can dream, right? LOL! I love using this watercolor technique. Take your “D” Block (or whatever size you want) and use your markers to add color, spritz with water, then stamp on your Whisper White Paper (or even watercolor paper), let the…

To think of you is to smile, SUO Challenge, Watercolor Fun

Woohoo, love the theme for this weeks Challenge. You know, you can play along too: http://suochallenges.com/ My inspiration for this card came from Kimberly Van Diepen. I love ALL her stuff.  This was perfect for an “out of the box” kind of card and different than how you would normally use this set.  You will notice that I didn’t center the top layer onto the card base. I wanted part of another Metallic Doily to…
