I made these cute little Pineapple Boxes for everyone (40) at the Luv2Stamp Meeting last month. I just realized I didn’t share them.
They are easy to make and I used the Pigment Sprinkles for the first time. Oh my! Love them. They are similar to Brusho that we had in the previous catalog.
Lets start with the box, I started using Tear & Tape to put the boxes together and quickly changed to Tombow Liquid Glue. It was much easier and gives you a couple of seconds to get everything lined up.
Now the fun part….. I used Granny Apple Green & Daffodil Delight Sprinkles for the top of the Pineapple, and Mango Melody & Daffodil Delight for the bottom of the Pineapple.
To make sure I didn’t get the Pigment Sprinkles on EVERYTHING, I took a Stampin’ Up! box and cut off 3 of the sides. I laid paper towels on the side that I didn’t cut off. Then laid the Shimmer White paper down, spritzed the paper with water and then added my sprinkles. The box is key because these Sprinkles go everywhere. Our Stampin’ Spritzers work perfect. You keep adding water until you get what you like. Take paper towels and wick up the edges. Let dry, or use your Heat Tool. With Heat Tool it will move the Sprinkles around and change the look a bit. Once dry, die cut with the Pineapple Dies in the In the Tropics Dies.
I used Tombow to add to the front of the boxes. Finished off with a double Linen Thread Bow (of course) and one of the Tropical Oasis Trinkets, both attached with Glue Dots.
Here are some of them all finished. Inside the box they each received a yard of the Braided Trim & a few of the Trinkets. I used the new Printed Gusseted Cello Bags (I cut off 2″) and tied them off with some of the Sale-a-bration Metallic Baker’s Twine. It worked perfect, and I think everyone loved them.
Its funny, but as soon as I saw that BIG Pineapple In The Tropics die set, I knew I would make some kind of box with it for our meeting. I didn’t really know how big the dies were until I got them.
