I love the colors on this card. This is my last swap and I will be showing my stampin’ buddies swaps next week.
I started off by die cutting the largest Stitched Rectangle Die in Whisper White. You will need 2 Sponges or Sponge Daubers to sponge on the Bermuda Bay ink in the center & the Granny Apple Green around the Bermuda Bay ink. I blended them together as you can see from my card. Once the ink was dry (just a couple of minutes), Stamp the sentiment with Black Memento Ink.
Now comes the fun part. Stamp the flower & leaves on Whisper White cardstock. Both of these stamps have 3 images. For the flower stamp Pool Party, the details, Bermuda Bay (stamped off once), and then the outline in full strength Bermuda Bay.
Here is the 3 images you will need to make the flower. Keep in mind that you don’t have to use all 3 images, and you can stamp them in any order. This works for me.
Now line them up and stack on top of each other. This is a great way to make sure your flowers are all going the same way. Trust me when I say, its worth the time to do this.
I’m using D Blocks for all three images. Put a piece of Washi Tape or Painters tape on the top of each block. You might be wondering why I have dots on my blocks; if I get together with others to stamp, I know which blocks are mine. I do the same thing with my cake decorating supplies that I use to make our Gingerbread Houses. The gals I’m with do the same to their supplies. We all go home with our own supplies this way.
Now set the first block on top of your first image. Peel away from the other images. Now just repeat so you have the flowers all going the same way. This way, as you are stamping, you know that the Washi Tape is always at the top and you can line up each image perfectly every time.
Here you can see how I stamped each flower.
Now die cut your flower. For the leaf, I just used one of the images and die cut as well. Also die cut those little leaves in Bermuda Bay and Granny Apple Green. Take the flower and put in the palm of your hand, using your thumb (other hand) press in the center. This gives your flower a bit of dimension. Attach with a couple of Glue Dots. Add Glue Dots to the leaves and other die cuts and tuck under the flower. Add a few Rhinestones and a Faceted Gem in the center of the flower. I used my Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blend to color.
Add this layer to a slightly bigger piece of Bermuda Bay Cardstock. Mount that onto a Whisper White card base, 4 1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5 1/2″. Now you are done!
