Twist on a Tri-Fold Card, Halloween Style

I found this fun fold card on Melissa’s blog, The Stamp Doc. Such a different fold. I’ve got two versions to show you. The gals in my Stamp Club did the Halloween card last month and I forgot to share.

You start off with an 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ piece of cardstock, I used Pumpkin Pie for my card. You will score it at, 2 1/8″ from each end along the 8 1/2″ side.  Add a piece of Whisper White, 4″ x 5 1/4″ for the inside. I stamped the clouds in Gorgeous Grape and added the bats punched out of Black Cardstock that is shimmer sprayed with the Champagne Shimmer Paint & Alcohol. I did a big sheet of black cardstock and everybody punched their bats and cats from that piece.

Next you will need 2 pieces that are 1 5/8″ x 4″ from Black cardstock & one from Gorgeous Grape Cardstock. Then you need 3 pieces of Toil & Trouble DSP, cut at 1 1/2″ x 3 3/4″. Two are the Cats, the other has the Ghosts on it. Glue the DSP to the cardstock and arrange on the front of your card. The top and bottom is attached to the right side with 2 Dimensionals. The middle panel is attached to the left side. Add the Black Baker’s Twine around the Ghost panel twice and tie into a bow.

The Cat Punch has Black Glittered Organdy Ribbon around its neck. I used one of the tags from the Christmas Tags Thinlits (page 24 of the Holiday Catalog) to stamp my greeting from Spooky Sweets on page 51 of the Holiday Catalog. I added it to the ribbon before I tied it in a knot. You can use a Dimensional to keep the tag in place. The Cat is added to the Stitched Shaped Circle with a couple of Dimensionals. I stamped the clouds with Craft White Ink before I put the cat on the circle. Add a couple more Dimensionals and attach on the middle panel to the right side of the card. That helps keep the card together.

Supply List:

This is another version of this card. I made this card for a friend who is celebrating 20 years as a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator. I used the Country Lane DSP (page 43 of the Holiday Catalog) for this card and the Detailed Leaves Thinlits, (page 45 of the Holiday Catalog). I sponged Gold Shimmer Paint on the leaves.
