Beginner, Casual or Avid Crafter? I am an Avid Crafter. I’m hopping with some of my Crafty Friends today. Make sure you hop over to Kurstan’s blog when you are done here.
I will be featuring the Christmas Gleaming Bundle. It comes with the Christmas Gleaming Stamp Set & Gleaming Ornaments Punch Pack.
Can you guess which card is which? I’m going to show you.
First up, is my Beginner Crafter. She or he doesn’t have many or any stamping supplies. Usually just a one layer card. (these kind of cards are a bit hard for me.) I have two layers on mine, because the punches are part of the bundle. I took a 4 1/4″ x 11″ piece of Very Vanilla Cardstock, scored at 5 1/2″ and stamped the sentiment in Pretty Peacock at the bottom right side.
Next I stamped the ornaments on a piece of scrap Vanilla in, Old Olive, Night of Navy & Pretty Peacock, and punched them all out with the matching punches. Add Dimensionals to each one. Do a “dry” run and set the ornaments on your card to get the spacing correct. Then stamp the fancy string stamp in each of the colors. Add the ornaments and you are done!
Next is my Casual Crafter. She or he has a few Stamping supplies. Here I added some squares that are die cut with the Stitched Shaped Dies, (smallest one), from the Brightly Gleaming Specialty DSP and layered them all with a piece of Pretty Peacock cut at 1 7/8″ x 1 7/8″. Once you have them all put together, do a “dry” run to get the placement right and snail to your card base, Very Vanilla 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″.
Stamp the sentiment with Delicata Celestial Copper Ink Pad. Looks like I embossed it! Love this new ink. Check it out on page 16 of the Holiday Catalog. Done!
For my Avid Crafter, she or he has it all! (I think that would be me….lol). I started with an 4 1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5 1/2″ Old Olive card base. I die cut 3 Stitched Rectangles, 2 with the Noble Peacock Foil Sheets in Old Olive, and one in the Brightly Gleaming Specialty DSP. I took that one and cut it in half and layered it onto the other larger Rectangle. That layer was added with Snail.
Wrap the Classic Weave Ribbon around hiding the cut edge of the dsp. Punch each ornament from different dsp and add Dimensionals to the small one. Stamp the Believe from Itty Bitty Christmas onto a scrap of Vanilla, add dimensionals and attach to the top. I also added a Star Designer Element next to it. That layer is attached with Dimensionals. Done!
