Wrap for a Starbucks Drink Treat

When I saw these cute fun wraps on Chris Slogar’s blog, I knew I wanted to make them for our team meeting today. I had a little trouble finding the Via Instant Refreshers, so I went on Amazon and found them.  You can find them HERE!

I started out with a Whisper White Stitched Nested Die cut. Using the Beautiful Friendship Stamp Set, I stamped the large rose with Flirty Flamingo, stamped off, (two roses in the center), and another one at the bottom full strength. I stamped the rose buds with Melon Mambo and the leaves in Mossy Meadow.

I stamped an extra rose on a scrap Whisper White and fussy cut, added a couple Dimensionals and attached to the rose on the bottom.

Now to make the base of wrap. You will need a 2″ x 8 1/2″ piece of cardstock, I used Mint Macaron, score at 7″. You will also need a piece of dsp, I used Garden Lane, cut at 4″ x 5″ scored at 1 3/8″ & 3 5/8″ on the long side. Fold on the score lines and use a 3/4″ Circle Punch and add a notch in between the score lines. Stamp using the Verdant Garden Stamp set on the top of your long piece of cardstock. Use the Delightful Tag Topper Punch. Chris was very clever when designing this wrap. The wrap is just a bit bigger than the base to accommodate the Refresher.

I added my focal piece with a couple of Dimensionals, and a 1/4″ Mint Macaron, Textile Ribbon at the top.

The sentiment is from the Beautiful Friendship set. I stamped in Memento Ink and fussy cut around it and attached with Dimensionals. I didn’t want all the flowers to be covered up with the sentiment. I also added a Vellum Leaf from the Wild Roses Dies. Tucked it under the sentiment with a Glue Dot.

So, many thanks to Chris for this fabulous idea! Hope the girls like them tonight.

  1. I’m going to be honest with you, I’ve NEVER made anything like this before. Because of that, I don’t understand your directions very well! Not your problem, but, I would like to make these! Because of my computer I really couldn’t tell how you stamped. You also show an arrow pointing at something? I just have NO idea how to make these awesome drink sleeves. I really could use maybe a little more explanation? I can’t really tell you why I don’t understand? But, I truly would love to try these. TFS!
